This unit depicts the benefits, advantages and some disadvantages of various equipment and teaching aides used in the classroom. These resources can make lessons more interesting and less reliable on textbooks. When addressing each of the resources the common thread running throughout is that the teacher must be prepared, understand the equipment and ensure that it is working prior to the lesson beginning. These resources can be used to instigate discussion, to allow the students to hear the language, can provide visual support to enhance understanding and amongst other things students can record themselves and playback for analysis. Different schools have different resources available for teachers. These resources are but supports to enhance a teacher's planned lesson.
