This unit is based on the Receptive skills in English which include reading and listening skills. It gives information on ways through which these skills could be effectively transferred to students and also some problems teachers may face when teaching these skills. I find this helpful because it's important for students to develop these skills in order to have a sense of accomplishment. A student for example who couldn't understand a word in English will feel accomplished when they can now make sense out of a reading or listening text. An example of a typical ESA lesson on teaching receptive skills is also given in this unit. I think this gives a good idea on how a typical lesson plan should should look like and I find this extremely helpful - especially to new teachers.
