This unit discussed the major factor of any language: vocabulary. Vocabulary is usually the first thing new learners of any language will learn. It is vital that a good teacher can evaluate the class and know which vocabulary terms the students will easily pick up due to similarities in their own language, relevancy, and usage. A good teacher also knows how to evaluate the class' level and know which vocabulary items are above their learning capabilities at the moment. Alongside vocabulary, grammar is very important as well as functions so a student can use a vocabulary term appropriately and using the proper tone of speech: formal, informal. Vocabulary is the stepping stone of learning any language, and in my opinion the most important part to understanding a language.
