Speaking and writing are used to communicate. With speaking, students have the opportunity for \"on the spot\" corrections. Accuracy activities are used in study phase and are focused on producing correct language. Fluency activities are used in active phase and with them , students can experiment and be creative. They ensure effectiveness and flow of communication.They are of equal importance. Speaking activities can be controlled, guided and creative communication. Controlled and guided activities are accuracy based, and creative communication is fluency based. With speaking it is more about process than product.
