I have quite enjoyed learning to differentiate between the future tenses. Knowing the differences between past, present, and future I feel will help my future students to avoid drifting into a passive voice when writing. Furthermore, building on a working knowledge of the future tense will effectively expand their potential productive vocabularies. Working in the future tense further reveals how important it is to understand sentence structure and verb forms, as the the place-age of verbs dictates which tense the sentence is. Thus, I see now how being able to identify these aspects of grammar, (i.e. knowing how and when to use a past participle versus a present participle), and further knowing how they are used is of the utmost importance, for both students and teachers alike.
