This unit covers the mechanics of expressing one's self in future tense. There are similarities to present and past tense, such as future simple, future continuous, future perfect, but there are additional structures associated with future tense that are not found with present or past. This is with the appearance of the \"going + infinitive\" construction that tells of one's predictions (based on evidence), intentions, and plans (decided before speaking). I have learned a lot about the need to really dissect every little difference in the English language. Though it will require a lot of time to design lesson plans, I think the effort will be worth it in the long run when students have an easier time learning because everything has been broken into palatable, digestible chunks.
