This unit was the most difficult thus far discussing pronunciation and linguistics. Of all the skills students must learn, students tend to struggle the most with speaking. Especially with delivery of natural intonation, rhythm and stress. Discussed in the unit was the rules that go into pronunciation. For example, where one should put stress on a word and how letters work together in a word to produce a certain sound. It's especially difficult because as observed in the poem in the lesson, many words can look virtually the same but have very different pronunciations with entirely different meanings. As a native speaker, it can be easy to forget just how difficult it is to create sounds completely alien from our own. Especially when some languages entirely leave out certain sounds.
