This unit explores potential difficulties and challenges for the English language teacher. In this way we read about how to effectively teach a first lesson, and how a lesson can be adapted depending on whether the students know each other etc. Other problems are also explored, for example students who are reluctant to participate in class. We study different methods of dealing with these issues, for example getting the students to record themselves at home, in this way the teacher can then listen to the tape at a later date and correct any errors. From this unit I have learnt more about how to deal with any issues that might arise in the class room.
