From the conditionals portion of this chapter, I have reinforced what I have already known prior to this course. The impactful section for me will definitely be - reported speech and especially the table provided on page 6 which explains what the different tenses become/change to from the direct to the reported speech. The key take away for me is the fact that when the direct speech is in the past perfect tense, the reported speech remains in the same tense. I also found the teaching tools useful in getting students grasp this topic. I thought using media interviews is a novel idea and will get the class engaged as it also relates to current affairs.
