Unit 12 presented information on teaching productive skills (ie speaking and writing). It explained the difference between accuracy and fluency activities and which is more important, speaking activities in the classroom, encouraging students to speak, techniques to encourage interaction and a typical free/creative speaking activity lesson. It also provided guidelines for a free/creative speaking activity. The unit also included writing skills and covered handwriting, spelling, language and punctuation, creative writing and a typical creative writing activity lesson. It also presented a section on how to use games in the classroom in an effective way.
