This unit explored the basic idea that all ESL teachers and the importance of having a good relationship between the learners they serve. Teachers need to be charismatic, understanding and patient when educating learners of foreign and often difficult languages. This unit examined the different age groups between learners from pre-puberty to adults and how that can impact ESL teachers' approach to their teaching styles. This unit taught me that since every classroom is different with varying cultural backgrounds and customs, using different roles such as an assessor, prompter or participant are necessary to effectively educate and be a 'good' teacher.
