In this unit, I studied the tactics to teach speaking and writing skills. This unit also cleared up some of my previous misconceptions. For example, I always thought in speaking, fluency is more important than accuracy. However, this unit taught me that they carry equal importance. My second misconception was that speaking is more important than writing, but that's not the case either. I found the sample lessons for both speaking and writing helpful. Although I think the engage, study, and activate stages are all important, I have the most trouble with engage and study. Certain topics/ grammar rules are hard to teach in an engaging and interesting way.
