This unit talked about the role of the teacher. There are nine different roles, prompter, observer, model, tutor, resource, participant, assessor, organizer, and monitor. A teacher has to know the when each role is necessary and how to fill the roles well. One of the important characteristic that a teacher needs is to care about teaching but to also care about the students learning. A teacher should be patient, kind, and aware of their students. There are different aspects about students that can affect what each classroom looks like such as, age, learning experience, nerveousness, life experience, motivation, language awareness, and behavior problems.
