This unit focused on two different grammatical concepts, conditionals and reporting. This unit veers into a grammatical territory that is slightly more complex than previous lessons, and I actually found myself learning quite a bit about the different forms of conditional, and why we might choose to use some types of conditionals over others. Likewise, for reporting, I had never actually been cognizant of the specific rules for changing between verb forms when reporting something some else has said. The way that reporting can be specified to achieve clarity specifically stood out to me, and I can see how this could be a challenging concept to students.
