Teach English in Pingfang Zhen - Ha'erbin Shi — Harbin
In this unit, I learnt the different methodologies of teaching English. In particularly, I learnt the theory of Engage, Study and Activate (ESA) and how to plan my lessons around the format. I learnt the different techniques, activities and games that relate to each of the stages of ESA and how to ensure each stage is a success. I also learnt how and when to provide feedback and the difference between an error and a mistake. For example, a mistake is simply a slip of the tongue and the student is able to correct themself, whereas as an error is more embedded into their brain and they either believe they are correct or they don't know where the error is.
