This unit offered me new material in the specific \"formulas\" that describe the common forms of the present tense in English. I appreciate learning labels for these different forms, and ways to structure sentences. Knowing these formulas will help me to better teach the present tense. I also found the distinctions in usages across each form of the present tense to be informative. As a native English speaker, I find myself intuitively taking one form over another based on the situation at hand. Knowing the categories of usage under which each form is appropriate will help me help my future students to develop similar intuitions from structured exercise.
