As a teacher, one must always keep in mind how he or she is coming off to the class. Using strategic body language is key to engaging students, getting meanings across, and creating strong teacher-to-student relationships. When grouping students, teachers need to keep in mind the purpose of the activity (and how it can most effectively be organized to help the students absorb information), the personalities of the students, and the level of English fluency, among other factors. In situations of misbehavior, teachers need to remain calm, and attack the behavior rather than the student, understanding that each student has a different personal experiences.
