This unit was about the characteristics of good teachers and a good learners. In addition, it explained some differences in the types of learners you will encounter and the difficulties with each type. Greater depth was given to the topics of how the age of the students and the previous ability of the students affect the learning process. I found the descriptions of the language levels (beginner, elementary, low- mid- and upper- intermediate, and advanced) to be particularly helpful in terms of giving form to what to be looking for in language ability. This will be useful in helping students progress and, even prior to that, placing them in classes.
