In unit 12 I learned about teaching productive skills. The two productive skills are speaking and writing. Although writing is very important to learn while studying a language it is often neglected by EFL teachers. Therefore, it is not only important to teach writing to one?s students, but one?s students must often engage in writing. Whereas speaking, as important as it may be, often over-shadows writing as a skill. Reading this unit made me reflect on attributes that are currently in demand for companies looking to hire employees. In recent years one of the most desired attributes in a potential employee is someone who can write effectively.
