Throughout this unit, I learned about different ways of teaching new language and what types of ESA lessons are appropriate to use. As a teacher, you can teach the students vocabulary, grammatical structures, and language functions. For teaching vocabulary, you have to think about what words should be or can be taught, and it depends on certain things like how the words can be applied to different situations. For teaching grammatical structures, the teacher has to think about what the students will need to know, like the meaning and usage of the language. This chapter also reviewed on example ESA lessons and how they work with teaching specific lessons.
