The unit covered how to teach students of English vocabulary and grammatical structures. The lesson taught what is important in teachings vocabulary and grammatical structures and was is not. For vocabulary, the origin of the word is not important, but the meaning is. The unit also gave examples of various activities to use in the Engage, Study, Activate stages of the ESA lesson. The unit gave examples of a straight arrow ESA lesson, boomerang, and patchwork. I believe this unit helped me understand better how to teach students vocabulary. I know I will use the information I learned in this lesson to teach students vocabulary and grammatical structures.
