This unit focused on teaching productive skills such as speaking and writing. The reason these skills were combined is because they are both used to communicate, however writing seems to be the most neglected in the TEFL world. One of the most important takeaways from this unit was the difference between accuracy and fluency activities. Often, these could be used interchangeably but there are big differences and they will determine the level of teacher to student interaction throughout a lesson. This unit provided a number of ideas and resources for teaching these two skills that are very helpful and I look forward to implementing in my future classroom.
