Unit 2 is an introduction to English grammar and is mainly concerned with identifying and classifying parts of speech. The most common parts of speech are nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, prepositions, and conjunctions. Each section is accompanied by a concise explanation and relevant examples. This unit has been useful in reviewing the basic grammatical rules of the English language, as well as introducing me to certain parts of speech ? such as gerunds ? that I was not aware of despite using them in my everyday speech. The unit material is sufficiently detailed and organised in a way that allows easy reference.
