This unit covers different ways to express present tense in English. Four are explained in this unit: present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. While some sentence constructions (simple and continuous) simply express the present as is, other forms, such as present perfect and present perfect continuous express the present in relation to the past. Much like other grammar lessons, this unit was a needed refresher because I will need to be able to explain to my future students the names for certain mechanics of the English language instead of just expecting them to understand by endlessly repeating certain phrases.
