I had to look back to previous chapters and review each of the past/present/future tenses. As a native speaker, it still blows my mind how much I don't know about my own grammar, and yet I speak English fluently. I'm sure, after reading up on how the grammar is supposed to be used, that I do not speak English correctly. Fluently, yes, but not correctly. On the test, I was tempted to select answers that made sense to me, but probably they are not correct grammatically. It's a difficult subject to memorize due to all the different tenses and word rules and patterns, so I can see how it is a challenge for others who are studying English as a second language.
