In Unit 8: Future Tenses, the future is described as one of the most difficult and complex areas of the English language. The unit introduces seven common tenses - the future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, be going + infinitive, present simple and present continuous. The unit then looks at these in more detail, as well as includes the common mistakes that students make while grappling with the future tenses, and ways for the teacher to better convey the future tenses to these students. Overall, I now have a good understanding of these seven common future tenses, and feel confident that I could teach them to students.
