This was the last unit of the course. A short one containing a few different teaching points. What to do when teaching a first lesson: get to know one another by playing some fun introductory games. Find out the language level of each student and find out their interests. It's good to know what they like for future lessons. It contained a few good warmers/games you can play when starting a class, so students get to hear the language again. It gave some insight on how to deal with students who have a different language level, large classes and what to do when students use their native language. As this is the final chapter of the course I want to say that looking back I think I've learned a lot. I will definitely read through the materials again, just to refresh the mind. I do think it's very strange that I can get a job as an English teacher (once I've passed), but I think it takes a bit of time and experience for me to feel completely confident as a teacher. But that's okay because I don't think anyone ever feels completely confident when starting a new job.
