This unit was very excited as it taught me about lesson planning. I think this is one of the most important skills to learn about to be prepared to teach a classroom full of students. The unit covered minimum expectations that beginning teachers should be doing and including with a lesson plan. A lesson plan can be described as an aid to planning, a working document and a record. Keeping the lesson plan simple, flexible and easy to understand is very important for not only the teacher to stay organized and be able to cater to the students varying attention and needs but also for the students to get the maximum learning experience from said lesson plan. This unit also included example materials of what a lesson plan could look like, making sure to include details about the class size, level of understanding, learner objectives, personal aims and anticipated student and/or teacher problems amongst many other things. The unit also covered some more examples of various materials that could be handed out for the class to be used for different stages of the lesson plan.
