Teach English in Longdongbao Jiedao - Guiyang Shi
There are four major development theories trying to explain the nature and stages of our intellectual development which suggest that there are many factors we should consider as teachers. We can therefore further divide young learners into smaller age groups of 5-9 and 9-13 year-olds. As children grow, their attention span changes, as well as there is a gradual shift within the memorisation and learning abilities and processes. Young children learn differently then older therefore when planning lessons we need to involve the right types of activities for the learning to be possible and effective. Despite differences, in both age groups all teaching should be in English and properly engaged first. In teaching we will use the ESA Models and all lessons are recommended to start with an engage phase and finish with an activate phase. We will need to decide on what class layout will be best as well as we will perform many different roles as teachers. In planning lessons we should remember to try to incorporate all skills in lessons: listening, speaking, writing and reading.
