This unit was presented through six themes: qualities of a good teacher, the role of ?the teacher, qualities of a good learner, classification of learners according to age ?groups, levels of language ability, and finally learners? motivation to learn L2. I also ?watched the video which attracted my attention especially the table that was drawn ?to illustrate the classification of learners according to age groups in terms of ?motivation, experience and behaviour. One more very practical thing I watched in ?this video is the examples provided for the role of the teacher. However, I was a ?little bit surprised to see the levels of language ability presented in three different ?ways. In other words, in the test, only 5 levels are presented (excluding the pre-?intermediate level), in the pdf content, 6 levels are presented, and in the video 5 ?different levels are presented with also different terminology (e.g. starter instead of ?basic), etc.. While I personally understand that this is just different terminology, I ?also assume that a fresh teacher will be a little bit confused. To sum up, this was ?such a fruitful introduction about teachers, learners, and language ability levels. ?
