Unit 19 explains how teachers should teach English among special groups. Learners who are considered 'beginners' may fall into the following categories, namely: absolute, false, adult, and young beginners, as well as those who haven't learned the Roman alphabet. Various teaching tips, methodologies, and techniques for English teachers are also presented. Likewise, possible problems which may confront teachers are addressed. Furthermore, advantages and disadvantages in teaching individual learners are discussed. Appropriate activities for teaching individual students are enumerated. These are short stories, newspaper articles, horoscopes, idioms, quizzes, pronunciation, postcards, videos, photographs, etc. In addition, the following may be taken into consideration when teaching children: a slower and more clearly pronounced delivery; use of a higher pitch and exaggerated intonation; lots of repetition; and positive responses to child's utterances. Finally, teaching Business English or English for Specific Purposes can take place in the following ways, such as: one-to-one, in-company group, or in-school group. Needs analysis must also be done in order to identify the learning needs of students. the result can also be used as basis in planning future lessons.
