Unit 5 is a very important unit for me. It is a strong guide to plan what the aim for the lesson is and to have a proper time management. Writing a lesson plan can be kept very simple and straightforward for a teacher so that it doesn't confuses anyone. Scripting a lesson is not a good idea because what is taught in class comes in a natural process, you can't predict how the students are going to react or what sorts of questions they will be asking you. Having a structured lesson plan and maintaining it is the key for long term as you are used to your own teaching style. It is also good for reviewing the activities to see if it links up with each other and are related to the topic. Lesson planning also keeps a teacher more organised as one can go through it and know what needs to be prepared in advanced. Creating a lesson plan is different for each individual but there are serval things that are important such as, what age range you are teaching, number of students, the objective, teaching aids, how to introduce the topic and the activities that are going to be done in the class- all this with their timing so a teacher can judge if he or she needs a back up activity to be used in the class. However, a teacher lesson plan needs to be flexible and adaptive.
