This unit was about what makes a good teacher, their role as the teacher, what makes a good learner, factors to consider about the learner and the levels of a learner. I feel I have learnt a good base understanding of what my role as a teacher will be through learning what the 9 different roles as a teacher are. When I get the opportunity to teach I want the learners to feel excited about learning the English language and learning about what my role is in that journey is very important. The examples in the video were very helpful as it gave the sort of verbal cue's that teachers give to students. Learning what the factors are that I will need to consider about my learners is very helpful for me for knowing what I will need to consider when preparing classes and making learners feel like they are in a comfortable, safe and fun learning environment. I feel that learning about the different learning levels will be useful when it comes to teaching as I now have a better understanding of what possible weaknesses and strengths the learners might have. By knowing this it will allow me to decide on the best ways to approach learners so that they feel confident in what they do know and I can motivate and encourage them to work on the things that they need more help on.
