This unit points out that there are a wide range variety of different teaching methodologies and teaching techniques to teaching. When lesson planning, you should structure your lesson with a goal and incorporate techniques to best achieve higher outcomes of students to learning the new material; while, being able to review and use past material they already know. Not only do you want to teach the Unit, you should aim to structure your lesson(s) so that it is engaging and productive. This is accomplished through your classroom activities and how you plan out your lesson(s) (in terms of: order, time spent on activities, goals of the activities, the flow of the lesson, etc.). There is no one way to go about this, but you should surely include some structure that follows the ESA method - begin with engagement, includes study time and active time, and end with active. This is because the ESA (Engage, Study, Active) method is flexible and appropriate for achieving: motivation, language exposure, and learning opportunity for learners.
