Unit 11 covered methods of teaching with respect to how information is interpreted(in reading and listening). I think this is important, because in the classroom, a teacher wants the students to able to use what they've learned often, and this can be hard, if the student has trouble processing the information. For the most part, it's easy to teach topics that one is interested in, but the ones that aren't, it can be hard to manage the class. The reason class management becomes hard, is that when there's a dull topic, usually it stems from little understanding, motivation can lessen, and from this, students become bored, and lesson plans may be strongly affected. I believe in these situations, pre-teaching vocabulary, and creating interactive discussion breaks help(mixing elements of Engage with Study). When students already have an understanding of the most difficult terminology in a document, then the other receptive skills can compensate for any further difficulties(scanning,skimming, deduction,prediction). Also, I would take 2-3min discussion breaks, that are related to the topic, but opinion based, and not directly correlated, this would help to keep them talking in English about the general theme, and would \"refresh\" them to continue talking about the topic.
