Productive skills focus on the students' abilities to deliver certain information. But we can also all agree that receptive and productive skills are integrated in many different ways. Although we could say that for most, delivering information is always a challenge. According to unit 12, speaking is almost easier than writing. Still, speaking has many challenges on its own: pronunciation, vocabulary, intonation, and even structure. Teachers should be an encourager in this area as there are a lot of hindrances that would matter until they are able to gain more confidence into speaking. Like, why would one fully talk when one knows that one would only make silly mistakes in public. The teacher should be able to know the needs of each individual for him/her to be able to fully be effective in class. Also, writing is an enormous mountain to climb. This should be done properly and step by step. Vocabulary, usage, grammar, structure, ideas, and more are very essential in achieving a good writing. The suggestion mentioned in this unit that could be beneficial is that students must learn how to be a wide-reader for them to see how language works. It may take time for one to accomplish the goals intended but it also is dependent on the teacher's knowledge on how the productive skills work.
