Teaching Productive skills unit represents an important unit of this course . Both writing and speaking form the elements of the productive skills , when the reasons and motives of using them can be divided into 3 categories : For a purpose , for fun and entertainment and both mixed . In fact , Speaking and writing consist on improving accuracy and fluency , when writing should be accurate and grammatically correct while speaking need to be without interruptions . Firstly , Speaking activities in the class have a huge role developing the communicative skills of the learner , the teacher have to vary the activities employing controlled , guided and creative ones ,focusing on the learners interests using them equally , also help the students to speak by encouraging them in multiple methods such as work in pairs and group work . Secondly , Writing is more formal than speaking, it consists on improving the handwriting , spelling and punctuation skills . In fact , students should be involved in creative writing about subject which seem to satisfy their interests in order to give them desire to learn . In conclusion , teaching productive skills consists on giving the student knowledge to produce correct English when using ESA methodology to make the learning as efficient as possible .
