This unit bean by looking at modal auxiliary verbs, which are words such as can, may, must, could, should etc. The unit discussed how these can show a variety of things, such as obligation, degrees of certainty or requests. For example must, shows a relatively large degree of certainty when stating something, and may should be used in a polite request. These modals also change according to past and present tense and so it is important when teaching this unit that one takes into consideration teachings on the tenses. I needed to use my knowledge gained from previous units of this course in order to understand the changes the modals go through for the tenses. Teaching ideas for this section were role play, such as in a doctors room where requests and obligations will be dealt with, as well as getting students to create a list of rules for a hotel. In unit ten the example lesson showed the teachers using animal vocabulary and ideas of what certain animals can and can't do to teach this section, which I thought was a fun way to do it. The unit then dealt with active and passive voice. It showed me that passive voice is used when the subject of the sentence is not important, or we do not know who it is, or we do not want to say who it is. An example of active voice would be \"I washed the car\
