From this unit i have learnt about all parts of speech, including the construction of basic sentences and simple sentences. I have also learnt about each individual words in a sentence are what they mean grammatically, this included learning about nouns and all their main types which are: -common -proper -compound -abstract -collective Further to this i have learnt to recognize whether a noun is plural or singular in a sentence and which we need to use when constructing a sentence to make sure it is grammatically sound. I have learnt all about adjectives and how they are used to describe nouns such as people and things. I have learnt all about articles and the grammatical rules that apply to the use of these articles. I have learnt the correct use of verb forms whether that be base form, past simple, past participle or present participle. I have learnt about when the use of an adverb is appropriately used to add meaning or information to the action. I have learnt about Gerunds and how these are 'ing' for of a verb used as a noun and the use of pronouns whether that be reflexive or relative. From this unit i have also learnt about the use of prepositions which are used to show the relationship between a noun or a pronoun and about conjunctions which are used to join words or groups in a sentence.
