Unit 2 is about the teachers and the learners. In this unit, the teacher's roles are laid. I learned about the teacher as an instructor, a facilitator, a mentor, psychologist, a policeman, and/or a counsellor. Moreover, there are always advantages in teaching a business class since the students are businesspeople, and there are many factors which could affect their learning and teaching, as well. There are also advantages and disadvantages of having a one to one class and a group class in a certain Business English class. On the other hand, I learned that teaching this class can also be the same as teaching in a general academic class, just a slight difference of the teaching methodologies and the age level or the maturity level of your clients. I just have to take note that I will be dealing adults, not kids. It might be relaxed and stress-free, but the context of preparing lessons which you can connect to the real-life scenarios of these people should be given much effort and consideration. These must be linked to the field they are in. The purpose of teaching these adults is to let them use the English language as part of their business career or field. Lastly, I learned about many theories and activities in teaching the receptive and productive skills which could help me teach businesspeople.
