This unit talks about how to teach a new language: what to take into account when teaching vocabulary,grammatical structures and language functions. I was not aware of the importance of properly teaching language functions as a means of activating language, since it is something that was not given much attention as I was learning English.The breaking down of the parts of speech are so important because there may be certain things that we already know such as nouns, verbs, and adjectives, but never really think of the breakdown. Even knowing these does not mean that we understand the breakdown of each and what that may look like. This unit provides that specific breakdown.
