In this unit, I have learned about a number of ways to assess a student's language level such as tutorials, evaluation by the students and tests. With regards to tests, I have also learned about the different kinds of examinations that we can give to students to gauge their language level and ability and also to enable teacher to place students into the correct class.In order to be able to present a lesson I believe it is very important for a teacher to be well prepared in order to achieve a set goal or outcome. This is also important to ensure the lessons cover the total area of the required program. Unplanned lessons may lead to the teacher deviating from the program and eventually not being able to achieve the required outcome.
