This unit focuses on some of the main theories or pedagogies of teaching English as a foreign language. It suggests lots of games and techniques to be used in a TEFL classroom and goes over the basic model of lesson plans known as Engage, Study and Activate. This design for lessons is quite similar to the one I'm most familiar with, which is Activate, Acquire and Apply.I found this particularly unit interesting. I have learned a lot about lesson planning and different materials I could use to facilitate a lesson. Very useful and practical way of learning even though it is only written for myself to read, however I was able to fully imagine how a class could be facilitated using the different activities discussed within the ESA stages.
