In productive skills, speaking and writing are substantially different in many ways, they both are used for the same purpose - to communicate. Accuracy and fluency carry equal importance. In writing skills, handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation is to be considered. Games in the classroom like many conventional, and unconventional, games can be adapted to language teaching.A short introduction of the four basic language skills was inserted in the beginning of the lesson but the focus of this unit is the receptive skills. The general reasons/motives for reading and listening were mentioned, as well as the problems and solutions related to listening and reading. In addition, the techniques for receptive skills were also briefly explained in this unit.
