This lesson is based on ESA Engage-Study-Activate. Engage- This is the sequence where the teacher will try to arouse the student's interest and get them involved in the lesson. Study-These activities are those where the students will focus on the language and how it is constructed . Activate-This is the stage where the students are encouraged to use any of the language they know.The most difficult part of teaching receptive skills to me will be the selection of skill appropriate material for authentic texts. The idea of using popular videos in the engage stage will help in that respect, as we can just select a portion that the majority will understand. Also pre-teaching vocabulary is a good idea that i can see will help alleviate many potential problems.
