Unit 18: Modals, Phrasal Verbs and Passive Voice I did not enjoy this unit at all; the information was not as effective in helping with completing the test as with the previous Units. The Modal Auxiliary Verbs and how they are used to express different ideas; for me was educational; when you speak English from birth all the above is taught throughout your childhood and into adult hood, without knowing the names, these Modal Auxiliary verbs are used daily and teaching these to non-native English students will make the lessons, and role play assignments interesting and educational for the students. The passive voice lesson: The suggested teaching ideas of matching sentences that have been cut and given to the students with varied active/passive sentences is constructive. The general knowledge quiz using passive examples can be adapted to their specific interests or to teach the students about a new concept or expand on the current lesson being discussed. Unit 18 was challenging from and I had to go back to my previous notes and units to understand the questions. Phrasal Verbs and their question is the test was a challenge and it required a bit more research on my side to understand the questions. The results will speak for themselves, as to whether I this unit was easy for me to absorb and learn.
