Unit 14 focuses on the materials that can be used as support for the teacher and for the student during the teaching/learning process. These materials, authentic (magazines, songs, poems or films) or created by the teacher (role-play cards, pictures stories, puzzles, crosswords) have to be carefully chosen by the teacher regarding the students level. The coursebooks are also very important materials used during the class, however, because they are made for general use, without covering specific issues that emerge from nationality or culture, the teacher has to pay attention and to be able to omit, replace, supplement or adapt it to the students real needs.
