This unit covered three aspects that must be covered when teaching a new language, with an explanation as to why they are important as well as example ways they can be taught effectively. The unit also re-introduces the Engage-Study-Activate lesson structures covered in earlier topics and demonstrates their importance in building an effective lesson flow. I found this unit useful because it allows me to see the reasoning behind which vocabulary, grammar structures or functions should be taught at what time in order to create an effective course syllabus. It also has many great examples of activities that I can use as a baseline in creating a lesson plan.
