This unit covered the four types of present tenses: present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous, and explained the grammatical structure and presented the main usages of each tense. The rules in regards to the structure and usage for each tense were difficult for me to grasp at first but after studying examples of each tense and and comparing all the tenses together I was able to better grasp the rules for each tense such that I can explain them to students in a clear and easy-to-understand way. The unit materials also provided several sample activities that can be used in the Activate stage in lessons for each tense.
