In this unit reinforces the fact that the structure or form of the sentence dictates the tense being used. One opinion I have is about the introduction of the subject verb contractions. I realize that in the future I will try not to introduce the contractions and focus on the tenses being introduced. I believe for the non native speaker it is better to drill the uncontracted form of the sentence to make sure they know the words entirely. The contracted form is often very different from the uncontracted form. For example \"will not\" and \"won't.\" This can be very confusing to the student. I would dedicate an entire ESA session to the contracted forms later.
